Sarāb, the Arabic word for Mirage, is a contextual installation that draws inspiration from the captivating allure of emergent visual landscapes in the desert. This legacy piece encapsulates the essence of mirages, those mesmerizing optical illusions born from the atmospheric dance of light and heat.

The artwork is a grand-scale cube, of 3x3 meters, with the sides composed of precisely arranged vertical strips, numbering 100 in total, each measuring 3 cm in width. Each of its four sides showcases the logo in a unique and captivating manner, based on the position of the spectator, it continuously hints at it, driving the curiosity of whoever is passing by and drawing attention to it.

The composition of the strips is computationally designed to maintain a sensible interplay between visibility and concealment. Positioned with their thicknesses facing the viewer, the field of view initially appears blank. However, as the strips twist, their wider sides come into the picture, revealing the logo design.

Dynamic and ever-changing, Sarāb constantly engages the viewer's perception. Yet, there is a specific vantage point from which the logo can be perfectly observed—when standing directly facing the center of any side. From this point, the logo manifests itself in all its symbolic glory, embodying the quintessence of Abu Dhabi Airport.
