Suzhou 2030: A Future-Oriented Urban Corridor Merging High-Speed Rail, Ecological Innovation, and Dynamic Urban Growth
In 2030, Suzhou will enter the super high speed rail era.
Until then, the Super High Speed Rail line site, as a green super line park, and the North District Sky Street, together form a future-oriented super space-time corridor.
VEINIFICATION
The spatial texture of the site is sorted out, and the functional groups are laid out on the basis of the blue-green chassis to continue the pattern of the Sangcheng with the interweaving of blue and green and the garden and water city.
SHAPING CORE
Establish a composite pivot city based on three axes (station city pivot, industry pivot, and AC pivot) to achieve high-frequency, high-energy value exchange using high traffic.
ACTIVATION
Continuing the Suzhou checkerboard pattern of small neighborhoods with appropriate scale and pedestrian friendliness, we propose a combination of flexible modulus to adapt to growth and build a super neighborhood with highly complex functions.
The overall planning is integrated into the east-west basic ecological green corridor of the high-speed railway new city, with ecological landscape and architecture symbiosis.
The core area is surrounded by water and opens up to the lake, with the city and the ecology as the mutual interface.
East and west wings, multiple water systems run through the north and south, and a slow walking system is arranged along the shoreline to stitch the city vertically.
The super line city is positioned as "regional industrial ecological service," linking the central and southern industrial sectors of the new high-speed railway city, forming the industrial flow pivot of the new high-speed railway city; with the North Station and the Convention and Exhibition Center as the dual hubs of industrial flow, building a "butterfly-driven, cross-interaction" industrial-city spatial structure, and enhancing the industrial ecological vitality of the new high-speed railway city.
A.
META ACCESSIBILITY
In the era of high-speed railway, the urban basic surface of the original station building and the south area was the ground level; after the expansion of the station building, the basic surface of the pivot city was raised to 24 meters on the same level as the station hall, and it was connected to the north area and the east and west wings to realize the three-dimensional accessibility mode with zero switching within the pivot city.
HYPER URBANITY
Through the complementary improvement of the urban unit grid, with the station as the center, the north and south cores are established to transform the north station from an urban hollow to the "core" of vitality.
B.
Lake stone superimposed: Three-dimensional superposition of urban functions.
Fast and slow fringe: Urban double waiting room, seamless integration with industrial services.
North Gate: The pole of integration.
C.
Regional transportation.
Optimize the road network in the area, ensure the road network density, realize the separation of hub, transit, and property traffic, and seamlessly connect to the water transportation network.
Hub traffic.
Optimize the elevated ramps, and adjust the location of the entry and exit ramps from the north and south sides to the middle of the track to ensure urban landscape appearance and maximize property development value.
