VidAledo introduces a Neorural lifestyle that blends urban and rural benefits, offering sustainable living, work, and community spaces through a terrain-adaptive, connected linear city model

The Post-Covid Community is located in the municipality of Aledo, nestled within the Bajo Guadalentín region. It sits at the southern slope of Sierra Espuña at an elevation of over 650 meters, bordered to the north, south, and east by the municipality of Totana, and to the west by the municipality of Lorca. The area's flora and vegetation are typical of the mesomediterranean zone.

The economy of Aledo is primarily agricultural, with intensive cultivation of table grapes in trellises and, to a lesser extent, carnations. Aledo is also an important center for traditional Murcian pottery.

NEORURAL - A NEW WAY OF LIVING
At VIDALEDO, we propose a new neorural lifestyle that combines the benefits of city and countryside living.

LINEAR NETWORK DEVELOPMENT
Terrain-Adaptive Grid We propose a hexagonal grid that promotes greater connectivity among people and adapts to the terrain with minimal impact.

Linear City All homes have access to the street and a portion of agricultural land.

Slow Mobility

Shorter distances and more efficient transportation
Save resources and reduce environmental impact
More accessible shared mobility options
Electric charging infrastructure
Efficiency and control
COMMUNITIES TO LIVE, WORK, AND REST
The post-Covid community addresses the lack of affordable housing, social isolation, population aging, and provides a more sustainable way of living that adapts to the changing needs and lifestyles of people.
